You're fucked
The present-day is making you drown in your own happiness.
Don’t believe me?
I want you to walk through a very detailed version of your day.
What does it look like?
You wake up, go to school/work, and maybe listen to some music on the way there.
You get there and immediately start working.
But you can an itch to look at your phone.
You then scroll through social media mindlessly, each video you watch almost getting a shot of happiness each time.
Before you know it it's lunchtime.
At lunch, you pull up your phone.
You end up binge-watching that while eating. (or maybe you even forget to eat)
Then you finish up your work only to get home and watch even more before going to bed and repeating that entire day
over,
and over,
and over again.
This deadly pattern is what is essentially destroying your happiness.
And no,
don't even try to say it's because of work.
Every day when you pull your phone out to scroll through TikTok,
or go home to watch TV,
hell, probably even the food you eat causes the hormone responsible for your happiness.
YOU rise your dopamine very quickly only for it to CRASH moments later.
This sudden rise and crash DESTROYS that hormone to where it takes more and more effort each time for you to be satisfied.
Why do you do this?
Because you live in a constant state of happiness.
