The truth about success
As you may already know, I have been working hard towards achieving my goals and dreams.
It hasn't been an easy journey,
but I have been fortunate enough to have the unwavering support of my immediate family - my mother, father, and brother (sort of).
Yet, I have noticed that the same does not apply to everyone else.
It's a harsh reality, but I have realized that most people I tell my goals to don't support me.
Even my closest friends sometimes envy me rather than cheer me on.
They don't tell it straight out,
but from knowing how to read body language, I KNOW when they're envying me.
It's a hard pill to swallow,
especially when you're giving your all to something you're passionate about.
I’m not sure if it's human nature or a sign of our times,
but it's sad to see how people can be jealous of someone else's success.
And then call them lucky?
It's as if their own insecurities and fears hold them back from being happy for someone else.
But I'm not here to complain or point fingers.
Instead, I want to share with you what I have learned about dealing with envy and lack of support.
Here are a few things that have helped me along the way:
Focus on your inner circle - When it comes to support, quality always trumps quantity. Keep your circle small and real. No need to have 100 fake friends.
Surround yourself with positivity - Seek out people who inspire and uplift you, whether it be in person or online. This will help you a long way.
Keep pushing forward - Don't let the envy of others or the lack of support hold you back. Use it as fuel to keep pushing forward toward your goals and make them regret ever doubting you. Remember, success is the best revenge.
I hope that sharing my experience with you has shed some light on a struggle that many of us face.
It's important to remember that we can't control how others feel or act toward us,
but we can control our own reactions and mindset.
Keep pushing forward
keep grinding,
and WIN.
With energy,
Leon Bekteshi
