- Success = Failure
Success = Failure
Failing can be described as one of two things:
You either fail,
give up,
never try again,
raise your hand HIGH up to the sky and wave goodbye to your dreams.
OR
you fail,
learn,
try again,
fail,
learn,
try again,
and never give up. (regardless of the result)
The honest truth here is that only one of the two possibilities will secure success.
And you guessed it, it’s not the first one.
Failure isn’t a thing you should be afraid of.
EVEN if schools make it seem like that.
There’s always a valuable lesson to be learned from failure.
And that lesson will be a GAME CHANGER if, AND ONLY IF, you acknowledge it.
When I grapple with my friends, and I know I am in charge, I had a tendency to get cocky.
What did this lead to?
My friend was still focused, while I was there messing with him.
I was unfocused, unprepared, and not observing, and he was preparing for the next BIG move.
And before I got to react, he had already caught me in a grip,
SLAMMED me over, and I lost.
The lesson to pull out there is to ALWAYS stay sharp.
You should NEVER get too confident in any realm of human endeavor.
Why?
Comfort is where the average man is made.
If you go around, being cocky like I was, unfocused like I was, and not observing like I was, it will always be that one person who will stay focused,
Work his ass off, and eventually beat you.
Rather, you should always be FOCUSED.
Sharpened.
Hard-working.
And keep on working until YOU’VE WON.
Then you can celebrate and act as COCKY as you’d want.
But only when YOU’VE WON.
Identify your past mistakes,
pull out a valuable lesson from them as I did here,
implement it,
and feel free to share it with me.
With energy,
