The 6 Steps To Build A Profitable Brand In 2023
You wake up whenever and wherever you want.
Get off your big bed.
Do your morning push-ups.
Take a cold shower.
Read a bit.
And get straight to your desktop, realizing you received a fat $1000 paycheck from one of your clients,
but it doesn’t make you excited because it’s spare change.
This is now normal to you. What to others seems like a shit TON of money, doesn’t even excite you.
You look over stuff, schedule some tweets, take a sip of your coffee, and go do whatever you want. (Spend time with family, workout, drive your car, etc)
This is the reality of owning a personal brand.
You work 2-3 hours a day, make more than enough to take care of your family and get to spend time with them.
While others are CONSTANTLY wondering how you did it. Your “friends” try hitting you up again. Your ex tries to call you admitting her mistake.
In 6 months, this could be you.
The best part? It’s not hard to create your own brand. But it will be harder. As more people start to build their own brands, it will get more competitive.
The best time to start was a year ago, the next best time is rn.
So, let’s get you started.
Here’s How u build a profitable brand in 2023
As with all things you need to understand the basics. Learn about how Twitter works (as it’s the best place to start).
Actually, take time to research and watch your competitors.
What are they doing that you don’t do? What’s working for them? Why are they doing this?
There are 6 steps you need to succeed on Twitter.
Let’s break them down:
1. Optimizing your profile
Having a good profile is a MUST for turning viewers → followers.
In the early stage, it is EVEN more important to have a clean-looking profile.
Why?
Because, in the early stage you have:
NO social proof
NO authority
NO trust
The only thing you can do, is to look professional.
So where do we start?
Profile Picture
Keep these rules in mind when choosing a pop:
> Your profile picture should stand out from consumer profiles - make it different
> SHOW YOUR FACE IMPORTANT: Do NOT use a low-quality photo as your profile picture.
It will make you come off as cheap.
Bio
A good bio consists of 3 parts:
1. What's in it for them
2. What you have done for clients, or what you write/talk about
3. A goal/project you are working toward
PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. They care about how they can BENEFIT from following YOU.
So, make it clear in your bio.
Name and Username
Keep it clear and simple: Use your/your brand's name.
Avoid special characters and numbers - it makes it look unprofessional.
Banner
Make the banner match your profile picture.
This will make it more appealing for the viewer,
and increase the chance of them hitting that nice little follow button.
The banner should show off your aesthetic and cover what you do.
Mine for example states "Turning your brand into a money-making machine", because that's what I help people do.
Pinned Tweet
A good pinned tweet is CRUCIAL. It is your "second bio".
It should be either a testimonial, case study, or a transformation of yours.
If you are looking to get more inbound leads, use a case study or testimonial.
If you are looking to grow your account, use a transformation story.
Location and Website
If you are using the Location option to actually show where you are from - you are doing something wrong.
Use the location option as a CTA to make people check out your link.
This is crucial and I see so many people make this mistake.
2. Growing Organically - Commenting
When you are trying to grow on Twitter from the start, your tweets will get close to 0 views.
So, we need to find another solution.
Commenting.
When you comment under other accounts’ tweets, they will start to notice you. Also, their audience will start to notice you.
Make sure to make your comments valuable. You don’t want to be commenting “Well said bro” or some BS like that.
Make the comment so good that it could stand as a tweet itself.
Find 5-10 people who you think post good content and engage with them daily.
Make yourself known to them and their audience.
3. Growing Organically - DMs
DMs is hands down the best feature on Twitter. So, use it for what it is worth.
The real secret to growing on Twitter is not making the best tweets. It´s about positioning and networking.
You´ve probably heard of Dan Koe. He enhances the importance of networking with other people.
Everyone holds some knowledge that you may not be aware of. And together you could start engaging and sharing information which each other.
This is how I managed to grow fast as fuck (without auto DMs).
Making genuine connections = an increase in your engagement.
Send out 15-20 DMs for 2 days, then take a 2-day break from DMing and repeat.
This way, Twitter doesn’t ban you for beings sus.
How to DM
You don’t want to send out generic DMs, they do you no good, actually, they harm more than they do good.
Have a reason to reach out to them.
Did you like their content?
Do you like their viewpoint?
Do you like their profile/goal?
Make sure to have a reason.
Then, when you get the reply ask about THEM.
People LOVE talking about themselves and their accomplishments. Use it to your advantage.
In the end, you’ll want to hop on a call with them. Don’t overcomplicate it.
Send something simple, “Hey I would love to know more about you, would you be down for a call?”.
11/10 times they’ll say yes. (if you made a good enough first impression)
4. Creating Good Tweets
To do this as a beginner you can use a framework called the G-A-P framework.
Very simple and straightforward.
The G-A-P framework
G - Growth Tweets - Use to get more engagement and grow your following base
A - Authority Tweets - Use to build trust with your followers and position yourself as an expert
P - Personality Tweets - Use to turn followers into Fans
The funnel:
Follower > Fans > Buyers
G - Growth Tweets
Growth tweets will give you the most engagement.
They help people “know” you.
They are the start of your Twitter funnel, helping you get new potential followers.
These are often viewed as platitudes. Short. To the point. And makes you think “Ah, I was thinking about that but didn’t find the words to describe it”.
A - Authority Tweets
These get the least engagement but are WITHOUT a doubt the most important.
This is what turns followers into $$.
These help you position yourself as an expert in your field.
But these need you to ACTUALLY show your expertise.
You can create them by showing accomplishments/results.
Tweets that show Authority:
Results
Case Studies
Actionable Advice Authority tweets are also called “social proof tweets”. Show off your wins and make others view you as an expert.
P - Personality Tweets
These are the tweet that gets people to like you.
They show people WHO you are and build real fans who care about you and your work.
“People like people like them.” — Patrick Karbowski (check him out)
Not harder than this.
Here's how it's done:
TALK ABOUT PERSONAL THINGS.
Such as:
Your Worldview
A Lesson You Learned
A Transformation You’ve Gone Through
A Perspective You Have On Something Interesting
People like people like them.
5. Build a valuable Network
Get rid of the idea of being a lone wolf. You’ll get defeated by people like me.
You need strong brothers around you, who push you, who hold you accountable, who call you out on your BS
To do this is not hard - the hard part is choosing the right kind of people.
To make it easier, I’m going to make a Discord group very soon and release it here. It will be free for the first 20 people and capped at 50 members.
So, make sure to open ALL the emails you receive from me from now on. The community will focus on growing and striving for success together. TO form a brotherhood for you guys.
TO make Twitter easier. TO make success easier.
Until then here’s the process so you can make one for yourself:
Find 5-10 people (with similar followers) who are like-minded/post valuable content/actively posting on Twitter
DM each of them and hop on a call
Give out the free value and share knowledge that you have
Hold contact with them and send over resources you believe are going to help them
Then after 1-2 weeks, shoot over a DM to all them (separately) and say that you’re trying to make a network with hard-working individuals and that you would love to have them be a part of it.
Create a Twitter group/Telegram group/Discord group
6. Converting Followers into $$
The last step is to turn your followers into $$. That’s obvious.
If you follow the previous steps, you should already have people who are interested in your service.
All you need to do now is make a landing page, set up a calendly, your own newsletter and funnel, and find those people.
Bonus point if you learn sales first.
These are the 6 steps you need to succeed on Twitter. The same 6 steps I used to be where I’m at rn. And the same 6 steps I’m giving to all my clients.
With Energy,
